Korean Language Ministry
For several years Sandia has sponsored a Korean language ministry, currently led by Dae-il Kim. Dae-il came to Sandia from South Korea in 2007 and is a student at UNM. He is supported by our Korean Language Ministry elder Kim Montalvo.
Members of the group go on an annual retreat to strengthen both their faith and their interpersonal connections. Four members of this ministry flew to Indianapolis this past July to participate in a five-day South Korean retreat that focused on those South Koreans who have decided to make their home in the United States. They were offered various classes throughout the week, as well as time for individual counseling, networking, and prayer. They returned enthused and committed to attending the same forum in 2010.
A Korean-language discussion of the 9:30 a.m. contemporary service, combined with music, is offered each Sunday at 11:00 a.m. in Room 220.
