Sandia Presbyterian Church offers Sunday and weekday opportunities for all ages to grow through worship, study, service, and fellowship. Membership is not required to participate in any of these opportunities.

Our Wednesday evening program is back for the spring from January 16 - April 17. Join us for a fun,  friendly meal for all ages, followed by classes and activities that offer a variety of ways to grow in faith and friendships. Some existing groups will continue, and new opportunities for adults and kids will be offered. Dinner at 5:45pm in the Family Life   Center: $5/person, $20 max/family. Classes and activities: 6:30-7:30pm.  Sign up for dinner and/or a class here. For more information contact Megan Smith   or click here.

The choir sings each Sunday at 9:30am (occasionally at 8:15am), rehearsing Thursdays at 7:00pm. The blended service musicians handle the 8:15am service, rehearsing Wednesdays at 6:30pm. Soloists and small vocal groups perform regularly, as do a brass quintet and other instrumentalists. Children sing in worship occasionally. The contemporary worship service musicians sing each Sunday at 10:45am, rehearsing Tuesday evenings.

Recreation & Sports Ministry

We believe that a healthy body and healthy recreation are important to spiritual and emotional health. Thus, we encourage and promote a variety of activities for all ages and abilities, both within our congregation and for the larger community. Activities include Upward Basketball for grades 1-6; Wednesday basketball for adults, men's and women's 50+, and seniors: Dance It Up! monthly dances for developmentally disabled adults; pickleball; co-ed volleyball; golf outings; backpacking trips; and more.

Upward Basketball

Registration for boys and girls in grades 1-6 begins each year on the day after Labor Day and ends in early October. Practices begin in mid-November, and games are on Saturdays in January and February. Click here for more info.

SUMMER Basketball Camp

Hoops of Hope Basketball Camp is a week of teaching Christian character
and great basketball fundamentals with Brent Fuqua, founder of “Hoops of Hope”. He has an MAT from University of North Carolina, two BA’s from Catawba College, is an ordained Pastor, a former high school basketball coach and physical education teacher and a basketball dribbler and handler extraordinaire (he’ll do his show during the week!) Brent loves the game almost as much as he loves the Lord, has led basketball ministries all around the world!

Dance It Up!

Dances for adults with disabilities are held in our gym each month (except in January and February during Upward Basketball). They are open to the community, for ages 18 and up.
