Adult Christian Education and Formation offers classes and groups for adults to further their growth as followers of Jesus Christ. We believe that adults grow as disciples through learning, applying, and following the truth of Jesus Christ in the context of community. In our classes and groups, you will have opportunities for discussion, reflection, and the formation of mutually encouraging relationships.

Young Professionals

Are you in your 20’s or 30’s, single, or married without children? Looking for meaningful friendships, often hard to come by in ABQ? Longing for some deeper spiritual connection, or encouragement on the journey of following Jesus? Connect with other young professionals who are pursuing Jesus in the company of friends:

- Monthly social events: some of our young professional leaders host a social event about once a month. NEXT ONE: TBD

- Wed. evening small group: another young couple hosts a small group in their home, every Wednesday 7pm for Bible study and discussion.

To connect with either of these or if you're just looking for someone to listen in this stage of life, contact our church office.

Mom's Connection

Mom's Connection is a group for moms encouraging spiritual growth and Christ-focused parenting through Bible studies and fellowship. Resuming September 1, 2021! Join us Wednesday Mornings from 9:30-11am in the Upper Room. Questions? Contact Rebecca Wildey.

Dads' Ministry

A team of SPC dads coordinates events to get a whole new generation of fathers at SPC fully invested in the work and future of disciple-making: father/child events; in-home gatherings for dads to connect. All dads are welcome to join the Dads' Zoom Group that meets weekly on Thursdays from 8-9 PM. Led by SPC members/dads David Steele and Ryan Guth.

Parenting &/or Marriage Classes

What parent doesn't need help, encouragement, and guidance? Visit our Classes tab below or our Wednesday Fellowship page for the most recent and upcoming opportunities for parenting and/or marriage.

Tools for Discipleship at Home

Trying to figure out how to talk about faith in a meaningful way with kids of any age in your home? Try RightNow Media, which many SPC families use to grow in their faith together.

Contact our church office for more info or to connect with any of these groups or opportunities!

Dinner Groups

Do you enjoy good food and good fellowship? SPC Dinner Groups are coming!

Here’s how it works: Couples sign up for a 3-month (a quarter) season and will be placed in a group of 8 people. Singles welcome! (You can pair with another single.) During that season, the group will meet for two dinners in private homes. Couple #1 will arrange and host the first dinner, and couple #2 will arrange and host the second. The non-hosting couples will be up to host first in the next season. All participants will sign up for each quarter, so nobody is locked in for a long period. For example, you can sign up for quarter 1 (Jan-Apr), and quarter 2 (Mar-May), and sit out quarter 3 (Jul–Sep) if you choose.

We will be starting in January 2023 to give everyone a chance to sign up and to not impact the holiday season.
