Connecting Kids and the Bible
Every Sunday we are teaching children a new story from the Bible. Engaging children in the incredible stories of God working in normal people's lives helps children know who God is and what he does. Just as most children love to hear the songs from or watch their favorite movies multiple times each week, repetition is a very good learning tool. The materials we use in Sunday School each week also are sent home each Monday through our Children's Ministry newsletter. The newsletter not only updates families on what special events are happening for children at church but also informs parents of the Bible story, the Bible verse and the Life Point that we worked on the day prior. The newsletter also contains questions that parents can use in a simple conversation to help children further apply the lesson. Parents have the highest influence on a child's life and spiritual growth, so we always strive to make the connection between what we do at church to what you teach at home.
