1 Thessalonians

1 Thessalonians
Every Sunday, from 09/27/2020 to 11/15/2020, 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM

In the open to Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians, he wrote “You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for in spite of persecution you received the word with joy inspired by the Holy Spirit, so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.” What does it mean to become an imitator of the Lord and how do we do it? How do we receive the word with joy in the midst of hardship? How do we do this in a way to become examples to those around us? We will explore these themes and more in an 8-week exploration of the book of I Thessalonians. This class is intended to focus discussion regarding on how we can apply Paul’s encouragement to his congregation in our current circumstances.

Taught by Travis Bauer at 10:30–11:30 AM on Sundays, September 27–November 15, on Zoom.
